The absence of digital data does make the picture a little murky, however. Boxed sales are down significantly compared to Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4, but obviously there are more consumers buying full games from the PS Store now than there were in 2018. As such, we won’t know exactly how the sequel’s results compare until digital data is included.
Sales are also down 20 per cent compared to God of War Ragnarok, but that game was also available on PS4. We’ll probably need to wait a few more days for an official press release from Sony, but we feel fairly confident assuming the superhero sequel will end up one of the best-selling games of the year. Did you buy Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 yet?
