Chandigarh: The Punjab cabinet on Saturday approved the proposal to fill 106 posts of clerk in the department of general administration in the Punjab civil secretariat here.
An official spokesperson said the proposal for the clerk cadre included 69 revived posts in the department of general administration.
The state cabinet also gave its nod to extend the services of 481 veterinary pharmacists working in 582 veterinary hospitals across the state as service providers for one year — from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024.
The state government had earlier merged 582 civil veterinary hospitals along with the sanctioned posts of rural veterinary officers under the management of zila parishad under rural development and panchayats, department to animal husbandry, fisheries and dairy development department. The cabinet also approved several other key agendas, including a plan to expedite construction of medical colleges.
