After being seen supporting the Colorado Buffaloes at a game in Boulder last month, some Arizona State fans might be questioning the loyalty of ASU football legend Jake Plummer with Deion Sanders’ team in Tempe to face the Sun Devils on Saturday.
There’s no question about who Plummer supports, however, according to Plummer.
“I root for one team,” Plummer recently told Arizona’s Family. “I don’t even root for the NFL teams I played for or whatever, but ASU’s the team that I will root for and hope that they do well.
“I obviously pay taxes so I am paying money to CU (Colorado), I’m probably paying some of Deion’s (Sanders) salary, but when I am back there I caused a stir wearing a Colorado shirt.
“I went to the game, I’m from Colorado. … I’ve had that shirt for ten years, I didn’t go buy it because of the Deion craze. I’m Sun Devil through and through.”

Plummer’s Colorado shirt definitely did “cause a stir” among some ASU fans and media members.
Social media slammed Plummer, one of the best quarterbacks in Arizona State football history, after he was seen in the Colorado shirt for the Buffaloes’ game against the Colorado State Rams last month.
