Zendaya is the newest
Lensed by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Zendaya appears in the foreground of E-1027, the Roquebrune-Cap-Martin house designed by trailblazing Modernist architect and industrial designer, Eileen Gray. Styled by Law Roach, to whom Zendaya’s pioneering fashion sense can largely be accredited, the campaign sees the star pose with a series of Capucines iterations in tow. Among them, a miniature Capucines BB makes its sartorial debut.
Winner of the CFDA’s Fashion Icon Award in 2021, Zendaya is among the highest tier of the industry’s trendsetters. Notably, in March, she sat front row at the Louis Vuitton Women’s Fall/Winter 2023 show — and her relationship with the leading Maison will only continue to grow stronger through her House ambassadorship.
The Capucines bag, launched in 2013, gets its name from the Rue Neuve-des-Capucines, or the street where Louis Vuitton cut the ribbon to its first-ever storefront in 1854. Now, the quintessential accessory is among the brand’s most recognizable creations, featuring full-grain Taurillon leather and varying styles, including hand, shoulder and cross-body.
