Rapper Snoop Dogg saved WrestleMania 39 on Sunday by channeling his inner Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to defeat The Miz in an impromptu match following an injury to Shane McMahon.
Snoop Dogg, 51, hosted the festivities alongside The Miz and called an audible when McMahon, a surprise guest, suffered a torn quad.

McMahon, 53, tore the quad early in the match against The Miz and was able to limp backstage with the help of some staff.
The rapper replaced him and knocked The Miz down with one solid punch. He then pulled off a slow motion “People’s Elbow” to finish off his opponent.
Snoop Dogg was a key part to the success of WrestleMania 39, touted as one of the best in a long time. On night one, the rapper accompanied Rey Mysterio Jr. in a lowrider during his entrance to fight son Dominik. He also sanctioned a match between Pat McAfee and The Miz which featured NFL tight end George Kittle.
When will The Rock return to WWE?
The Rock, 50, recently teased a return to the WWE and many fans expected him Sunday to support his cousin Roman Reigns in his fight against Cody Rhodes.
Johnson sent his best wishes to all WWE personnel ahead of WrestleMania and finished the message with half of his iconic chant.
“If you smell” was all that The Rock got out before saying he would save the rest for another moment, leading many to believe that he’s ready to make a return to the WWE, even if it’s just for one fight.
News of Vince McMahon selling the WWE to the parent company of the UFC is likely step one of seeing Johnson back in the ring.
