A beautiful piece of Star Wars fanart depicts Anakin Skywalker’s Force ghost communing with Ahsoka Tano and Luke on Endor. Following the events of Return of the Jedi, Ahsoka and Luke come into contact at some point, with the former spending time on Ossus at the new Jedi Academy. Ahsoka has yet to make peace with what became of Anakin, however, still haunted by the duel with Darth Vader on Malachor.
Jaw-dropping fanart by Saddew Art Design via starwars_exchange depicts Ahsoka and Luke meeting with Anakin Skywalker’s Force ghost following the Battle of Endor.
Anakin proudly looks over Ahsoka’s shoulder as she takes in the charred remains of Darth Vader’s helmet, seeing that his spirit has been restored. Luke watches from a distance near a downed walker, with Wicket the Ewok, Grogu, and R2-D2 also joining in on the festivities.
Ahsoka Makes Peace With Anakin’s Spirit
While the fanart is a few years, it’s an extremely timely piece to unearth. Part of Ahsoka’s spiritual journey in Ahsoka will undoubtedly be making amends with her former master, which makes an appearance from Anakin Skywalker’s Force ghost inevitable. She’s likely aware of Anakin’s turn from conversations with Luke, but feeling the presence of her friend in the Force as he seeks forgiveness will be a turning point for Ahsoka.
It’s entirely possible this has already happened. A venture to Endor with Luke would be a great way to show Ahsoka that Anakin Skywalker died at peace, the remains of Darth Vader being the hollow husk of a mask. The charred helmet is haunting, but those who cared for Anakin can see it as a sign of his strength, rather than symbol of evil Kylo Ren worshiped. Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano will meet again in Star Wars, and if the moment is anything like the fanart depicts, it will be beautiful.
