Did Dua Lipa just make onesies look cool?
Today, the pop star graced her nearly 89 million Instagram followers with yet another party outfit. This time, the all-black ensemble centered around a statement one-piece. The inky black velvet bodysuit featured a high-cut leg silhouette, a plunging neckline that nearly grazed her belly button, gathered fabric at the shoulders, gaping arm holes, and a tie detail at the sides that left tendrils of velvet draping down toward her knees.
Underneath the onesie, Lipa showed off a lacy sheer Gucci bra in black. The bralette additionally included angular cutouts and a print of the Italian fashion house’s GG monogram pattern. The Grammy winner further accessorized with gold Chanel jewelry (including a multi-strand choker, a perfume box chain necklace, and plated hoop earrings), as well as a rectangular purse with a bedazzled shoulder strap.
She captioned the photos, “in search of the nearest dancefloor.”
Lipa, who recently turned 28, often takes to Instagram to document her sartorial achievements. For instance, on her birthday, she shared pictures of herself dressed in two major outfits: a red-hot Valentino gown with a thigh-high leg slit and a Tiffany blue Bottega Veneta midi dress completely covered in bouncy fringe.
The “Don’t Start Now” singer previously opened up about her sense of style in a 2017 interview with Bazaar.com. “I’ve always loved dressing up,” she said at the time. “I like it when things look like you’ve just thrown them on and sometimes the things you really do just throw on look the best. I’ve always been inspired by the ’90s.”
