Tom Sandoval is accusing his ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix, who he split from last year after nearly a decade over his infidelity, of being ‘petty.’
Two weeks after she filed a lawsuit to list their Valley Village home, which they bought together in 2019, the Vanderpump Rules star revealed the actress, 38, turned down his seemingly fair offer on the property.
‘Ariana is making it out to be that me wanting to keep the house is a psychopath move, but it’s not,’ the singer, 40, said on Nick Viall’s The Viall Files podcast.
He explained: ‘She’s like, ‘Oh, he gave me a s**t offer. I gave her an offer of $3.1 million. We bought our house for $2.05 [million]. … I gave her an offer to buy her out.’
Sandoval went on to claim that Madix, who is starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway, ‘hasn’t paid a single bill for this house in eight months’ and hasn’t lived in their home for ‘two or three months.’
‘She’s being petty and she doesn’t want me to have the house,’ he alleged. ‘That’s the petty [move]. ‘I am breaking up with you, and I don’t want anybody to have [it].’
The TV personality added: It’s [like] flipping over the Monopoly board. That’s it. It’s like, ‘I’m losing at Monopoly, so I’m going to flip the Monopoly board over.’ That’s what it is.’
According to the documents, obtained by DailyMail.com earlier this month, the former couple do not see eye-to-eye on how they are to split up the property.
The suit read that Madix wants a ‘partition by sale’ which essentially means that she wants a judge to order them to sell the home in order to divide the proceeds.
What she is fighting against is a ‘division in kind’ which would allow each of them to retain their ownership interest in the property which could lead to one of them theoretically selling to a third party.
Last spring, their nine-year relationship ended with ‘Scandoval’ which found Sandoval being involved in an affair with her 29-year-old friend Raquel Leviss (now Rachel).
Earlier this month, she told People that she was ‘really motivated’ to offload the home, co-owned by her former partner.
She explained that she wants to ‘fully just move on from being tied to that’ property and any other connection to Sandoval.
‘I’m ready. I want to own my own home,’ she told the outlet.
Their expansive property has five bedrooms and five and a half baths.
During his conversation with Viall, Sandoval said he ‘loved’ Madix, but accused her of talking down to him ‘throughout’ their relationship.
‘It’s unfortunate that like, my way of acting out against that was like, me also like, just getting belittled, belittled, belittled all the f**king time,’ he said.
The reality star said he ‘acted out’ and was unfaithful due to his ‘low self-worth.’
‘Somebody like Raquel — somebody who’s in her 20s doing the whipped cream bikini thing — I was like, ‘Wow. I’m attracted to somebody,” he confessed.
Still, Sandoval said: ‘I loved Ariana. I really f**king did. And the whole process of breaking up with her, this happened over four months.’
Previously, she defended their awkward, living arrangement on Bethenny Frankel’s Just B podcast.
The reality star stated that she will not ‘f**k [herself] over’ by making any rash decisions.
‘I have never been someone who came from money. I know how quickly that goes away,’ she explained. ‘I’m taking care of myself.’
The TV personality went to on to say that she is ‘not rich’ and has a mortgage and other expenses.
‘A lot of people on the internet seem to think I’m rolling in money right now. I have a lot of places where that money has to go before I get [it],’ she continued.
Despite living with Sandoval, the actress made it clear that she keeps their interactions to a minimum.
‘I have a pretty decent setup,’ she said. ‘My room is kind of like my little apartment… I stay in my own little zone.’
Additionally, Madix said she keeps her door ‘locked just in case’ and sleeps ‘easier at night not giving a f**k when he comes in that door.’
‘Yes, we’re in the same house, but I don’t have to think about [him],’ the former bartender told listeners.
Also back in August, the Buying Back My Daughter star explained why she has not moved in the comment section of one of her recent Instagram posts.
‘I live in my home that I own while working with my lawyer and financial advisors to navigate the best path forward before uprooting my dog and my elderly cat and causing more trauma for the three of us,’ she told a follower.
