MOORE, Oklahoma — An adult film star and her boyfriend were found dead in an Oklahoma home in what police believe was a drug overdose.
Jesse Jane, 43, and Brett Hasenmueller were found by police after officers were called to the home for a welfare check, the New York Times reports. Although police suspect drugs were involved, the deaths remain under investigation.
Fox 25 reports that state medical examiners are conducting autopsies.
Jane’s real name is Cindy Howell. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated from high school in Moore, Okla., according to biographical information.
Her acting career in adult films began in 2002. The Times reports she was the star in the highest-budget film series in adult-film history. She retired from making porn films in 2007, the Times reports.
Jane did make a few appearances in mainstream TV shows and movies, including “Entourage” and the film of “Starsky and Hutch,” which starred Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.
