In celebration of the University of Michigan’s football championship, Kellogg’s has released a limited-edition Froot Loops box sleeve featuring blue and yellow-only loops in commemoration for sale online.
The design showcases Toucan Sam saying “Go Bloo” instead of “Go Blue” on the front of the box. The “Hail to the Victors” fight song is written on the side of the box sleeve.
The exclusive Froot Loops x University of Michigan National Championship box sleeve was only available in limited quantities on Tuesday on Kellogg’s store website for $18.17 a piece, a nod to when the university was founded more than two centuries ago.
“They are currently selling like hot cakes, so we ended up adding a second batch, as the first one sold out early (Tuesday) morning,” a Kellogg’s spokesperson said.
The cereal is not included. The box sleeve is made as a gift or collection item to showcase. Shipping could take up to three weeks, the website says.
“Savor the sweet taste of victOOOry with this exclusive collaboration between Froot Loops and the University of Michigan,” the Kellogg’s sale site reads. “Designed to commemorate the team’s outstanding achievement… Hail to the Victors!”
The Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company, later to be known as Kellogg’s, was founded in 1906.
