Margot Robbie channels Superstar Barbie in pink sequined gown and boa at Golden Globes 2024

Barbie’s gone Golden.

Margot Robbie recreated another iconic Barbie outfit on the Golden Globes 2024 red carpet Sunday, wearing a hot pink boa and coordinating sequined gown along with seven figures in diamonds to kick off the first major awards show of the season.

The 33-year-old “Barbie” actress looked like a living doll as she channeled 1977’s Superstar Barbie in a custom Armani Privé creation, telling Variety on the red carpet, “I just woke up and I thought maybe this would be appropriate tonight.”

She wore her hair down in a loose style, accessorizing with $3 million in glittering Lorraine Schwartz jewelry including 30-carat diamond studs and a 3-carat ring featuring natural vivid pink diamonds.

Robbie never fails to nail it when it comes to a Barbie-inspired look, and Sunday’s look follows a long line of creative interpretations of classic Mattel outfits.

Her most recent doll-like ensemble was the pink polka-dot Balmain dress she wore to the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards on Thursday, with the ’80s-inspired look featuring puffy sleeves and rosette detail.

And last year, she rocked a range of vibrant pink ‘fits before the SAG-AFTRA strike forced the movie’s press tour to come to an early end.

Robbie is up for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy for “Barbie,” and Ryan Gosling, who plays Ken in the film, is nominated in the supporting actor category.

The movie is also nominated for Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy as well as Best Screenplay, and a whopping three songs from the buzzy film are up for Best Original Song.
