Raiders play at Indianapolis on Sunday
The 7-8 Las Vegas Raiders, trying to keep their playoff hopes alive on a short week, held a walkthrough practice Wednesday as they turn the page from Monday’s big win at Kansas City and prepare for Sunday’s game at the 8-7 Indianapolis Colts. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. PT.
So, the first injury report of the week was a estimation. Had the Raiders practiced fully, though, running back Josh Jacobs and tight end Michael Mayer would not have practiced.
So, their chances of playing at the Colts will be determined later in the week. The Raiders will be eliminated from playoff contention if they lose at Indianapolis. They cannot be eliminated with a win.
Jacobs has missed the past two games with a quad injury. Second-year running back Zamir White had 145 yards rushing against the Chiefs and will start again if Jacobs can’t play. Mayer, a rookie tight end from Notre Dame, missed the Chiefs’ game with a toe injury.
Backup tight end Jesper Horsted didn’t practice Wednesday, but then was put on the injured reserve because of a hamstring injury.
