After months of anticipation and dozens of captivating WIP showcases, CG Supervisor Ian Smith and SideFX have finally officially released Project Pegasus, an in-house tech demo created to show how Houdini’s procedural workflows can be used in combination with Unreal Engine 5’s latest technologies to create stunning 3D environments.
If you’re not familiar with it, Project Pegasus is a groundbreaking 3D environment that made its debut at the Game Developers Conference 2023. Following the success of SideFX’s previous tech demo, Project Titan, which was powered by Unreal Engine 5, the tools and techniques developed for Project Pegasus will be generously shared with the community. In the coming months, you can look forward to learning materials and downloadable content that will allow you to dive deeper into the creation process and unlock endless possibilities for your projects.
