Walmart last month quietly released a new Google TV streaming stick under its Onn brand. This new streaming player runs Google TV OS with all the most popular streaming services. At release the player cost just $14.88 now Walmart has raised the price to $17.50 which still makes it one of the cheapest streaming players on the market right now. However, for an extra about $2, you could get the 4K version with even more ram.
The streaming stick comes with 1.5GB of RAM and only streams in HD. It may not be the most powerful device out there, but for it being only HD that is likely more than enough. This is very similar to the Walmart $19.99 Onn Google TV but that version that was released earlier this year. The main difference is the earlier version is in 4K and this new cheaper model is just in HD.
This stick was first leaked a few months ago but now is finally up for sale. A Walmart spokesman confirmed the launch.
