Mark Wahlberg’s daughter Grace, 13, wants to be an Olympian and he insists she’s ‘MORE disciplined’ than him

Mark Wahlberg’s daughter Grace, 13, loves horses and is, for her age, an accomplished equestrienne.

The teenager inherited her father’s famous drive and has set a lofty goal for herself: the Olympics.

‘My daughter, believe it or not, is more disciplined than me,’ the Ted star, 54, told E! News in an interview about why HE gets up at 3:30 am. 

‘I didn’t adopt that kind of discipline until I was in my 30s, and I had to do it because of work,’ he continued.

‘And now, she does it on her own because she wants to be an Olympian,’ he added.

‘I always thought the Patriots going to the Super Bowl was the most nerve-racking experience I’ve ever had,’ he explained, ‘It’s nothing like watching my daughter on a horse.’ 

And The Departed star and his wife Rhea Durham, 45, are big supporters of their daughter’s dream.

The couple regularly shares updates about Grace’s horse shows and how she does in them on social media. 

‘Last day of showing at the Nationals,’ Durham wrote on Instagram earlier this month. ‘So proud of you Grace and Bernadette! 

‘You guys went double clear in the children’s mini Grand Prix today and dad and I almost threw up but we made it through,’ she gushed. 

For Grace’s 13th birthday in January, her parents had a custom horse-shaped cake made for her. 

Mark and Rhea also share daughter Ella, 20, and sons Michael, 17, and Brendan, 15.

Wahlberg also shared what his two sons are into with the outlet, saying, Michael is ‘really into MMA, jiu jitsu, muay tai, right now,’ and Brendan ‘says he’s a better actor than me, and that he’s gonna be bigger than I ever was.’ 

In June, Mark shared with People how good his daughter’s work ethic is, saying Grace was ‘most like me.’

‘She works out now. She’s an equestrian. She now wants to go up in meters and to be a Grand Prix Jumper. She’s got to train,’ Wahlberg said.

‘She’s doing things that my other kids are kind of now starting to think, ‘Well, we’ve got to start doing something because she’s got it all figured out, what she wants to do and how she wants to do it,’ he added. ‘And she’s doing the work.’

‘I called her this morning at like 10 o’clock. I wanted to catch her before she left to go to the barn. She was already at the barn on the horse,’ he said as he laughs. ‘So she’s she’s got my work ethic for sure.’

‘She does not mess around. If you’ve even think about getting her there late or missing something, it’s a big problem.’
