Supermodel Gisele Bündchen recently had a reflective moment that she chose to share with her social media followers. Next to a serene photograph of herself on the beach, the 43-year-old mused about the importance of kindness.
In the photo, captured in the perfect golden hour light, Bündchen sat in the sand clad in a black one-piece swimsuit. Her eyes were closed while her wavy locks flowed down her back and she hung her arms loosely over her bent knees, feet flat in the sand.
“Everyone we meet has faced or is facing challenges in life that we know nothing about,” she wrote in her caption in both English and Portuguese. “We don’t see the silent struggles, the fear, the obstacles, the heartbreaks, or their daily ups and downs… As we go about our daily routine, we may miss seeing someone needing a simple, kind word or gesture. I believe an act of kindness sparks more kindness, and this is what we most need in the world today. .”
Plenty of the Brazilian model’s 22.2 million followers were moved enough by Bündchen’s words to respond in the comments section.
