Cuffing season is back.
But too many singletons run the risk of spending the long, cold winter snuggle-free — that is, one dating expert says, unless they get smarter about reading the signs that somebody is into them.
Jacob Lucas, who coaches the lovelorn and shares courting advice and secrets on TikTok, has posted a time-saving video revealing the ways to see if a potential partner is really interested in you — and not just passing the time until someone better comes along.
The first sign a potential romantic partner will show is that they will always come to you for advice, the 30-year-old influencer said.
“They do it for two reasons,” Lucas explained. “They highly value your opinion because your opinion is the one that matters most to them.”
“The second reason is because it is a good excuse to talk to you,” he pointed out.
Another sign that someone likes you, is when they are always “playfully teasing you.”
The U.K- based love expert added: “They start joking around with you a lot and having more banter with you than they do with other people.”
“This is many people’s way of building that fun flirtatious tension with somebody,” he advised.
And when a person is creeping in your DMs, then it is a “dead giveaway” that they are crushing hard, he .
Always commenting on your Instagram Stories or sending you memes saying “that it reminds them of you” is a signal, according to Lucas.
He stated that this act is just a veiled tactic for someone looking to initiate a conversation.
Another indication that someone is trying to make you their bae for Christmas is when that individual tries to copy the way you speak and even mirror your slang terms.
And finally, the last way to know that someone is (probably) hopelessly in love with you, is that they will attempt to sleuth around and find out if there is anyone else you’re dating.
His followers were shocked at the advice and realized that they have experienced this type of attraction that he was talking about — with some who have not grumbling that “no one finds them attractive.”
“Omg that’s so scary! He imitates me when I talk !!! And he asks for advice and sends meme and reels,” a user wrote, referring to person they have been chatting with.
One haughty fan sniffed: “Yup I’ve definitely had this a lot I actually find it cringey tbh.”
“Ok, so no one finds me attractive. Got it,” another laughed darkly.
