One quick and easy upgrade for many recipes is to simply make them spicy. Bolognese sauce, with its reach and versatility, makes an excellent candidate for this doctoring technique. However, there are many ways to do it. There’s nothing wrong with simply adding a few hot pepper flakes to your meat sauce at any point doing the cooking process (though early on is better, to ensure it mingles properly) or swapping in some spicy sausage for some of that beef chuck.
