A giant, underwater-themed arts installment will take over Water Street later this month.
As part of the Arts in Motion series, Water Street Tampa is letting Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde install his massive Waterlicht exhibit along two blocks of Water St. from Oct. 27-29.
The immersive LED artwork, which is described as a “captivating light display mimicking the beauty of water,” is free to experience, but reservations are required.
The Waterlicht exhibit is also offering music experiences on varying nights, like the Florida Orchestra on Oct. 29, DJ and Instagram “curator” Pamela Tick on Oct. 28, and Earth Harp on Oct. 27.
The experience can also be paired with dining options from nearby Predalina, Boulon Brasserie, Small Giant and Market at Edition, are available for an extra charge.
At the same time over at Sparkman Wharf, Roosegaarde’s Dune installation will also be open to the public.
The interactive lights and sound exhibit allows visitors to be “a direct part of the artwork, enhancing social interactions between themselves and the landscape,” says the website.
Dune is open to the public Oct. 6 thru Oct 29. Dune is free to visit, though some experiences require a paid RSVP.
