A beloved downtown business has a new owner.
New York Pizza & Pasta in downtown Beaumont has been sold to Chef Antoine Ware, who also recently purchased the Calder Avenue location.
In a Saturday Facebook post about the move, Wayne and Cara Holman thanked the restaurant’s team and guests for their hard work and keeping the doors open.
While the Calder location was shifted to a new concept, the post says the downtown location will be kept “just the way everyone loves it, with the addition of a full bar and some extraordinary specials. The Calder location will continue the transition to Bocca Felice, fine Italian dining, while keeping some NYPP favorites.”
The Holman’s son is working on opening a new restaurant on North Main Street in Vidor, called Table 105. The restaurant will serve the pair’s New York-style pizzas as well as other casual American fare. That venture is expected to open in the next two months.
“We wish only the best to Clayton and Chef Antoine and look forward to all of you continuing to visit,” the post ends.
