If you’re looking to outfit your baby with new gear or get rid of an old car seat, Target has the program to help.
Target is hosting its semi-annual car seat trade-in event between April 16-29 where customers can bring in a used car seat in any condition for recycling.
In exchange, customers will receive a 20% off coupon added within the Target app or Target Circle webpage to buy a new car seat or other baby products.
Participating Target stores will have drop-off boxes in the Guest Services section. Customers can scan the signs near the drop-off boxes using their smart phone to receive the coupon.
There is a limit of one coupon per account, but shoppers can redeem them twice in Target stores and online through May 13.
The used car seats will be recycled to create new products, such as plastic buckets and materials used for construction.
