ARLINGTON, VA — A man was killed Saturday when he was hit by a train at the Pentagon City Metro Station in Arlington, according to Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority officials and police.
According to Metro Transit Police, the man was struck inside a tunnel around 10:30 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said station cameras showed the man voluntarily walking onto the tracks before he was struck.

Shortly before 1 p.m., Metro officials said trains were “single tracking between National Airport and Pentagon City” and riders should expect delays.
Arlington Fire & EMS responders were also on the scene.
