One of Jackson’s first major solo appearances was at the 2017 Grammys. She walked the red carpet wearing a disco-inspired Balmain gown with strands of delicate metallic beadwork, cutouts at the waist, and a mid-thigh slit. She finished the look with strappy olive green heels and an oil-slick-colored clutch.

A Sheer Moment, 2017

Jackson chose a more daring and feminine look for the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards later that year — a sheer, embroidered Christian Dior dress overtop a matching Dior bra and boyshorts set. She added a few pieces of delicate jewelry and a pair of strappy champagne-colored heels to enhance the ethereal vibe of the ensemble.

The American Horror Stories actress was known to rock a bold print during the late 2010s, and she did just that in this Jenny Packham tiered dress at a black-tie event in New York City. She tied in bohemian elements with a braided bracelet and corded gemstone necklace for an overall eclectic look.

The fairy lookalike moment may have been intentional — the singer’s father famously felt akin to Peter Pan, and according to Rolling Stone, he used to call his daughter Tinker Bell. The actress wore a jaw-dropping silk tangerine-colored Vivienne Westwood gown — one of her most elegant looks to date.
